Electronic Prescribing Service

e-Prescribing, a computer-based means of communication with doctors and other prescribers. The benefits of e-Prescribing include increased accuracy, eliminating phoned-in or faxed-in refill requests, a secure network for exchanging prescription information, and the ability to handle more volume. The e-Prescriber system receives inbound requests and refills and responses are sent directly to business/pharmacy system for updating.

Increase Accuracy

Reduce the risk of errors associated with illegibly-written prescriptions.

Eliminate Patient Wait Time

Have a patient prescription ready by the time the patient arrives at the pharmacy. Electronic prescriptions can flow directly into QS/1’s pharmacy management software prescription processing queue.

Provide Quality Patient Care

Speed up the prescription refill process by eliminating the time your pharmacy staff spends phoning or faxing in refill requests, allowing your staff more time to provide patient care.

Security

QS/1 works with SureScripts, ProxyMed, WebMD and RxNT to establish electronic communication between physicians and pharmacists and to provide a secure network for exchanging prescription information.

Competitive Advantage

It was announced at the 2005 NCPA conference that only 5 percent of independent pharmacies have registered to receive electronic prescriptions, while the majority of large chain pharmacies have already registered. Pharmacies who aggressively encourage e-prescribing with high prescribing physicians in their areas will begin driving more volume into their stores.

No monthly fee

To support our goal of improving patient safety, QS/1 does not charge a monthly fee for our software nor do we charge any software setup or maintenance fees.

Electronic Prescribing Registration

With QS/1, you can register for free to begin receiving electronic prescriptions from SureScripts, Emdeon (formerly WebMD), or both. Simply complete our Electronic Prescribing Registration Authorization Form, and fax to QS/1 Services at 864.253.8690 or call 800.845.7558 X7339 if you have questions or wish to have a copy of the form e-mailed to you.
